The William V.
Fisher Catholic High
School Foundation
Endowment Fund was
initiated in 1986 to
establish an
on-going financial
resource for the
school. Originally
raising nearly one
million dollars, the
funds investment
income represents a
significant
contribution from
many benefactors and
strong support of
the Diocese of
Columbus. This
original investment
from the founding
father and the
community enabled
the Foundation to
quickly become an
important part of
the stability of
Fisher Catholic High
School. Since its
inception, the
foundation has
provided over one
million dollars
tuition assistance
to needy families.
Mission: Encourage
stewardship and
philanthropy by
providing a legal
entity to accept and
invest
tax-advantaged gifts
to be held forever
in trust, as a means
to build a permanent
endowment for the
contribution of
secondary Catholic
education in
Fairfield and
surrounding counties
via William V.
Fisher Catholic High
School, in
accordance with the
gospel values and
the teaching of the
Catholic Church.

Frequently Asked
Questions:
Q: What is
the Fisher Catholic
Foundation and why
does it exist?
A: The
William V. Fisher
Catholic High School
Foundation is a
non-profit,
tax-exempt
organization,
founded in 1986 by
concerned citizens
of the community.
The future of
Catholic education
in Fairfield County
was in doubt and the
founding fathers of
the foundation
wanted to assure
that the resources
were available to
support future
generations in their
desire for quality
Catholic education.
Q: How does
the foundation serve
the school and
community?
A: The Fisher
Catholic High School
is awarded yearly
gifts as identified
by the William V.
Fisher Catholic High
School Foundation
Board, the principal
of the school and
the wishes of
contributors. The
awards are made from
the proceeds of the
investments with
some portion of the
investment growth
being reinvested
back in the
foundation so that
the main core
principal is grown
and safeguarded for
future generations.
This allows a
donor's gift to be
perpetual and yet
directed according
to the donor's
wishes. Since its
inception the
Foundation has given
the school over one
million dollars
while growing the
principal.
Q: Who
governs the Fisher
Catholic Foundation?
A: A board of
volunteer members of
the business
community (approved
by the Bishop), a
member of the
clergy, the
principal of the
high school, and a
financial
representative of
the Bishop, oversee
the investment
strategy as defined
by the U.S. Catholic
Conference of
Bishops guidelines.
All investments are
made in a socially
responsible way and
in keeping with the
tenants of the Roman
Catholic Church.

the benefits of
