"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."

Kairos Retreat

**Due to the National Catholic Youth Conference, our Kairos Retreat has been scheduled for April 17-20, 2008. **

The Senior Kairos retreat is an optional four-day senior retreat that offers an experience that is beyond description. This retreat was begun by Al Kovacic in 2001-2002 and has continued to develop through the most beneficent graces of the Holy Spirit. Every year more seniors freely choose to attend and every year more students come away with a totally renewed view of the Catholic Faith; i.e. a personal view! The retreat really challenges the students to look deeply at their lives and their relationship with Christ so as to foster a personal and prayerful relationship with the Lord. This is a “must experience” during a student’s time here at Fisher Catholic.

The students experience at Kairos

"Well to be honest, I wasnt expecting much. It turned out to be such a great and emotional and religious experience. Everybody walked out being effected whether they wanted to be or not. I met some great people and made some great friends and i still am in contact with them. It was one of the highlights of my high school experience. I wish i could live it again. It is something you really need to participate in and thankfully we have absolutely fabulous leaders, not only teachers but students as well at FC to help spread the word. Be there or be square!"

Kairos IV

"I was on the first Kairos and had to give the talk on why we are here. I don't remember too awfully much, but I know that it opened me up to a lot of my emotions. For years I have just kept all emotions inside, never letting out or showing anything, but all that happened at Kairos just moved me so much. I have tears well up now when I think of all the students who are or will be going to Kairos, and I feel like I shoudl be there to help, so they can have the kind of experience I had. It truly is life changing. You learn so much about others, but even more about yourself. Anything can be said there, and it will never be repeated outside of Kairos. I only wish I had been there longer, so that I could open up fully, because I fear that I may never have that opprotunity again. To anyone that is reading this who is thinking of going on the Kairos retreat, do so! It is well worth it, and just try to open up and just cleanse your soul with the experience. Kairos is an experience that shouldn't be missed!"
