MID-WEEK UPDATE NEWS

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Fisher Catholic Community,

Congratulations to all of you as we come to the end of the 2020-21 school year! We have certainly had our ups and downs, but I think our community responded and came through this extremely well. The students were able to experience almost all of what they would have in a normal year. We will be celebrating our Class of 2021 in just two days at our Baccalaureate Mass at St. Mary's at 6:00pm. We will send them off on Sunday at 2:00pm with our annual commencement ceremony. A final congratulations to our co-valedictorians Anna Tencza and Audrey Mannella and our co-salutatorians Francis Hanf and Aiden Jackson!

Please make sure that all Chromebooks, chargers and cases are turned in before the end of the day Thursday. We need to inventory those as we prepare for the 2021-22 school year.

The 2021-22 school year calendar is posted on the website. 9th grade orientation will be Thursday, August 19th and our first all-student day will be Friday, August 20th.

Good luck to our #3 ranked baseball team as they head into the district final against rival Newark Catholic here at Ben Thimmes Field on Thursday, May 27th at 5:00 pm. Tickets can and must be purchased at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets prior to arriving at the game. Good luck as well to our multiple track athletes who will be participating in the regional competition this week. We are looking forward to some more state qualifiers!

Thank you for your support and cooperation during the entirety of the 20-21 school year. The students have been wonderful and I have never worked with a more professional faculty/staff. It has truly been an honor. God Bless and Go Irish!

Blessings,

Jim Globokar

Matthew 7: 1-5

"Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and look, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye!"

SOPHIE MAZGAY SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Sophie Mazgay, a Senior at Amanda Clearcreek High School, died as a result of an automobile accident last September. Sophie's family so courageously chose to support life by making the decision to donate Sophie's organs.

THANK YOU to everyone who purchased Irish4Life apparel throughout this school year! With a portion of the profits from our apparel sale, the Irish4Life club was able to donate $500.00 to the Sophie Mazgay Scholarship Fund!
