May 5, 2021

Fisher Catholic Community,

Welcome to May! The countdown is on and the Class of 2021 has 12 days of school remaining. Let's make it a great finish!

This past Sunday evening we had a wonderful Junior/Senior Banquet with the help of our sophomore class, volunteer parents and Bob's Backyard BBQ. The evening was filled with great food, laughter, and truly showed the connection of this Class of 2021. Thank you to our Junior and Senior class presidents Luke Sharp and Audrey Mannella for their inspiring speeches. Thank you as always to Miss Cathy Henry for all of her hard work in making these graduation events special. The next event on the schedule is Prom to be held this Saturday, May 8th at Cheers Chalet from 6-10pm. We hope this is a fun-filled night for our juniors and seniors.

Congratulations to our baseball team on currently being ranked #6 in the state of Ohio! Keep it up gentleman! Congratulations to our track team, as always, on their wonderful performances. A special shout-out to senior Natalie Boyden who broke a school record by 20 seconds! Congrats Natalie!

Next Thursday, in honor of Mental Health Awareness month, we will be having Dr. Sean Gorby of Capital University and 3 of his graduate students presenting to our student body bringing awareness to mental health issues and the ability to reduce the stigma, how to cope and available resources. This is a relationship we will build moving into the 2021-22 school year. The health of our students is always our #1 priority!

Finally, a Happy Mother's Day to all of you! Thank you for entrusting your children to our care and thank you for raising such a great group of kids. God Bless and Go Irish!

Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.

Catholic Times

Please see below for information on congratulating your graduate in the Catholic Times. The deadline is Thursday, May 13th.

On Friday, we will be allowing our seniors to have a "field afternoon". They will be leaving school at 11:00 and heading to Tiki Lanes. We currently have 8 lanes reserved for them from 11:30 - 2:00. The cost is $10 and needs to be turned into the school by tomorrow, May 6th. This includes shoes and unlimited bowling for that time period. Any food/drink will need to be purchased on their own. This is a great opportunity for our seniors to bond as we are only 25 days away from graduation! If for some reason your student is not going, they will be required to be in class as normal unless they have a doctor note. If that is the case, please contact Ms. Merritt at the front office.

Congrats Class of 2021, God Bless and Go Irish!
